The Mobile Map Viewer 1.0 is a computer program for popular, mainstream PC's (No 3D accelerator cards needed) which lets people easily move around three-dimensional landscape maps called Mobile Maps. Mobile Maps were designed by their creators, High Country Software, to bring 3D maps to the the public and industry using cheap/portable computers. Our Review: This software has a very cool concept: navigate internet through a 3D world map. It's like playing a first person shooter game. Bookmarks are set as longitute and latitude positions...very unique. Unfortunately, this type of linking is not at all convenient once you have too many of them. It tends to make navigation rather difficult. But still, Mobile viewer runs quite smoothly, and its small size makes this software rather appealing. If you're looking for a unique way of browsing the internet without the use of VRML browsers, then this is for you.
