RealPopup, is a freeware utility conceived to replace the old Winpopup messaging application supplied with Win3.x and Win95, as long as the standard messenger service on Windows NT and 2000. For those of you who doesn't know what Winpopup is, it's an utility by which you can exchange messages with any other user connected to the local network. RealPopup makes the same things plus more options, Windows integration (yes, it's a full 32bit application) and up-to-date features, such as direct click on any hyperlink typed or received. If you use Winpopup, RealPopup is the final utility to communicate over your local network.
Our Review: A good replacement for Winpopup. RealPopup has good networking features and a nice interface but it doesn't really do any more than bog standard Winpopup apart from a busy mode and some filtering features. Good if you are looking for a simple, smallish messaging program.
