I just want to take this opportunity to plug a silly little program I've hacked up: GeekReader. GeekReader is a very very early beta version of a news grabber. At the moment, it can parse backend files in XML/HTML and, to some extent, Ultramode formats. It's pretty barren as far as functionality goes at the moment, but with your feedback and suggestions, that will get better over time. Take a look at it and let me know what you think. Oh, and yes, this is the first app that utilizes the WonkoSlice backend (as far as I know...).
Our Review: GeekReader is a newsgrabber that specializes in the news of geek. Which means it grabs headlines from pages like geeklife.com and wirednews.com. The interface is quite nice, with a simple system of windows and a link tree, although it does have its problems - there is no documentation at all, some of the sites fail and one of the menu items has no apparent function. Still, for a beta release it should please some computer fiends out there.
