Beyond FTP is a general purpose file transfer utility that allows complicated transfer scenarios to be scripted and scheduled, providing automated operation of routine, repetitive tasks. The script language is simple, yet powerful. The application support for this language also includes an Explorer like interface that allows you to perform a number of ad hoc functions in addition to the creation and control of scripts and distributions. Our Review: The first impression you get when you load Beyond FTP is that of a very dated looking FTP program. However, once you start using it, you don't care, as the features that it contains far outweigh the dated appearance. With drag 'n drop file transfers that resume from wherever they stopped, data encryption on all transfers and a whole heap more, Beyond FTP is one of the best FTP programs I've used. A great feature is the scripting tool which allows you set up scripts to do commonly repeated tasks. This a program for the serious FTP users out there, and with a $395 price tag for the client, you certainly get what you pay for.
