Canary is a program that monitors Internet access and computer activity on a computer. It has a number of safety features such as a password of your choice can be compiled into the program. It records where a user has been on the Internet and for how long, and how many times a user has visited a particular site in a day (and how long they spent there altogether). It can also be set to do the same thing with programs that are run on a computer eg. applications, games, . . . Great for work, school or home. Version 1.50 now has a delete option and a button based toolbar to make it easier to use than version 1.00.
Our Review: Canary is a very easy to use and setup monitoring application. It picks up a lot of information if it is requested, it can even tell you what MP3 files the user has been listening to. It has a list of URL sites visited and can show elapsed time on site and on Internet Explorer or Netscape. This software has been well designed and works in the background with no noticeable drop in performance. Version 1.5 now has a delete option and a button based toolbar.
