Synchromagic performs foolproof synchronization of files and directories, either one-way or bi-directionally, with many useful options. Synch files/folders on one computer, from one to another, from one to several, or from several computers back to just one. Tasks can also be performed over a local area network, and to FTP sites. Mirror sites can be created for disaster recovery or to backup files, directories, and even entire drives. Includes separate ScanFolder utility to determine disk space allocation. "Synchromagic" can do all of the following: Create and save multiple synchronizing tasks Perform multiple tasks simultaneously Synchronize folders(files) over network Synchronize FTP-server located folders(files) Replace destination folder(file) with source folder(file) Synchronize source and destination folders in both directions Update destination folder(file) only Delete files from the destination if they are not present in the source (on/off option) Transfer only if files are on target (on/off option) Transfer only if target files are newer (on/off option) Include subfolders in synchronizing process (on/off option) Show preview dialog before performing synchronization (on/off option) Logging support Command line support Swap source and target Undo task changes ScanFolder utility compares directories to determine disk space allocation Our Review: As you can see from the features listed Syncromagic has just about everything covered and covers it well. The cool blue-green interface is also more impressive than the norm, with a simple yet effective source/target split and all the functions represented handily by buttons as well as the usual menus. Help is on hand, which is useful as some of the functions could be dangerous if done improperly, although it isn't as extensive as a beginner might hope. Smart, snazzy and powerful - Syncrhomagic has it all.
