SpaceTracker Pro 2000 is a Windows utility used to monitor both local and networked drive space. Based upon user-defined limits, the user can be notified of thresholds being reached on monitored drives. Notification can occur through any or all of the methods allowed through the Add On Manager. Notification Add Ons currently include: SMTP Emails, Messenger/WinPopup messages, Multimedia playback, Desktop Notes and Application Launching. Our Review: While a quick view in 'My Computer' can satisfy most people's concerns about disk space, for those who need to constantly keep tabs on numerous drives Space Tracker Pro is more than up to the task. Adding drives is done easily, and once up and running are represented by a small bar in the system tray (Space Tracker sure likes to use the system tray with 3 programs running plus any drives you want to monitor - although these can be hidden if you wish). Other useful features include graphs, logs and a warning that can sound whenever a drive hits a certain level. Further advancement comes in the form of the add-on Manager which can e-mail, message and play multimedia when needed. While Space Tracker isn't lacking in features and certainly looks the part, the segregated nature of the interface and it's heavy reliance on the system tray may prove irritating on a busy desktop. Still, small niggles can't overshadow the fact that Space Tracker Pro is the most advanced drive space monitor available and will easily exceed the expectations of most users, so if you have the need - Space Stracker Pro 2000 will supply the goods.
