Do you want to transfer files to friends, need to group "tons" of small files to a big one? Then you should try this utility. QuickZip is one of the zip tools available on the Web that allows you to create, extract or test all kinds of zip archives, you can even turn it into an executor so your friend can just extract it by clicking on it. Moreover, it provides some extended features like being able to open and manage a lot of zip files all at once and a quick launch toolbar. And yes... QuickZip is a freeware! Our Review: Another WinZip clone, QuickZip is an archiving utility that also allows you to check, quickview files, make executables, etc. But unlike WinZip it has an internal media viewer for quick viewing files in zipped files without the need to load notepad or whatever application is needed. There is a quicklaunch bar as well for quickly loading applications like notepad. Also has useful shell extensions that allow files to be easily added to/extracted from archives, and QuickZip supports a wide variety of compression formats (including some really obscure ones). Also comes with a couple of plugins - one "zip search" to search within archives for file-matches, and a multi-disk backup tool.
