Eraser is able to find these files: Trash-files : Eraser will find these files by file-extension or by name.Look at "Options".You can add own extensions and exceptions there. Cookies : Eraser will find all cookies. Dead links : Eraser will find all dead links. Browser-cache: ... all files in "Temporary Internet Files"-Dir. 0Byte Files : ...empty files. Recent-Dir : ...all links in your "Documents"-directory. Temp-Dir : ...all files in"Temp"-Directory , careless of extension!!! The entry ".TMP" in trash files-Options means temporary files exclude Temp-Dir!!! Applog-Dir : Your computer uses these files for faster finding executable programs.You should not delete these files every time you use Eraser (but, in fact, it´s harmless).But consider: Every program you´ve ever started leaves 1-5 files in this directory!! Deleting them every half a year would be the right thing. All these files are only ballast and should be deleted every 1-4 weeks, depends on usage of your pc. Eraser will search trough all selected partitions and for every selected kind of files at the same time.Deleting these files is normaly harmless. Our Review: Eraser is a simple disk cleaner that will search for useless clutter such as 0kb files, dead links and all those temporary files Windows just loves creating and delete them for you. Simple to use, Eraser looks every bit its $10 but is still a handy app to have on call. Eraser doesn't touch anything dangerous, so it is also pretty safe for novices.
