Express Ping Monitor is intended to verify connections to any amount of remote hosts periodically. You will be notified when pinging host goes down or wakes up. You can observe detailed statistics for each host as well. Program is easy to use and has user-friendly interface. It is a good replacement of standard console utility ping.exe, which is distributed with Microsoft Windows 95, 98 and NT. Ping any amount of remote hosts; Detailed statistics for each host: number of sent packets, number of received packets, percentage between them, highest, lowest, average and last the time needed for requests to be returned. Ping the remote host in specified time intervals to reduce the overall network traffic, unlike ping.exe, which will send new request immediately after return of previous one; Will draw up a ping protocol inclusive: ping start time, ping finish time, time when remote host stop or resume responding, errors, etc; Minimize in system tray, not hindering your work, and positioning the mouse pointer on the icon in system tray, you will get helpful information; and more... Our Review: Express Ping Monitor is an effective way to assure yourself that there "is someone out there" on your big wide LAN network (or even the internet). You simply add the network addresses of any computers (or URLs) you wish to ping and sit tight while it pings your list. Information such as the average ping time and success rate are clearly listed. Express Ping Monitor supports DNS lookup so you don't have to know the exact IP addresses. Other features include the ability to visually/audibly notify you if a server goes up or down. Nifty.
