AntiCrash a system utility that’s designed to free memory and prevents Windows from crashing. Primarily, the program works by monitoring every application running in the background. It goes further by displaying processor threads, DLL files and other system items you won't ordinarily find in the Control-Alt-Delete menu. You can use the Process Viewer/App. control to kill or hide selected applications without making your system unstable, which tends to happen. For the more stubborn applications, you can "destroy" processes by having the program break its thread link with the processor and system kernel. This effectively shuts down an application without affecting others that are running.
Making Windows more stable must be one of the holy grails of programming. AntiCrash, its designed to spare you from countless boot-ups. Essentially, it provides access to several functions and tasks that tend not to crash the operating system. It controls memory threads and virtually forces commands to reach the system Kernel. AntiCrash is completely multi-threaded, allowing you to work with applications without the usual instabilities and grinding slowdowns.
Our Review: I don't quite know what to make of this AntiCrash utility - it seems to have a few issues of its own but nonetheless seems very comprehensive (at least in giving alot of system/process information). The claim of AntiCrash is that it will monitor the process threads in your memory and clean up leaked memory - resulting in a stable, smooth-running environment. From within AntiCrash you can load/kill/hide running applications and monitor all running processes - including their version numbers, the number of children/threads, and their base priority. The manual mentions that there is an included backup tool but the required files seem to be missing. AntiCrash is a remarkable tool but would be most suited to advanced users who understand the program jargon and consequences.
