The program is an advanced tool to search and replace for group of text files. You can find files by setting a path, name mask or several name masks and query. Searching in the documents may be executed by a phrase, few words, query like in Alta Vista or series of lines. For the found files Actual Search & Replace shows lines containing searched words and phrases with their highlighting. You may replace, insert and delete phrases or lines in the documents. It is possible to undo modifications in the files. You can create a file containing an information about the found files. Our Review: Yes, it actually does search & replace. Searching is a breeze, allowing you to mask by file extension, file size, date or add your own wildcards if necessary. Once found your file or files can be modified by user-defined replacement, deletion, replacement by spaces or insertion before or after the found string. This is really only the tip of the iceberg however, for Actual Search & Replace looks deceptively simple, yet still contains enough flexibility to allow the user to deal with the complex and unusual text found in programming code. Recommended.
