Deskman is a simple but powerful security application with many features to configure your desktop and your system. One of the most distinctive features being the shortcut protection, a very effective option that can be easily executed. Our Review: This is very nice to use and no hassle at all. Deskman allows you to configure certain limitations on your computer so that other people can use your computer without you having to worry about the damage they might do. Deskman can restrict access to individual control panels, drives, the registry, the network neighbourhood, system hot-keys, and aspects of the start-menu. Deskman also implements a customisable timer that can initiate security features in response to scheduled alarms or user actions. One very handy feature was the ability to add a password to any shortcut - meaning that you can hide your hard-drive but still allow password-protected access to necessary applications. As I said - a simple joy to use - but why did they make the configuration window so small???
