Get a Microsoft 'Best Choice Shareware' awarded File Manager. Use FileQuest Lite to manage files and folders on your computer. This fine Explorer replacement does everything Explorer does in a similar and very familiar interface, and brings a number of additional tools to the table as well. It sports an extremely versatile interface that you can customize to a high degree. You can add favorite utilities to a custom menu and add favorite folders to another custom menu. You can easily create virtual folders to find particular types of files by employing filters, date, and size criteria. You can also set up the program to open multiple folders in multiple windows. Other features include search support, file selection by filter, custom sort, custom view, custom confirmation, custom reports, bookmarks, an integrated email client, and more. A separate version of the program, FileQuest, adds network support. Our Review: A worthy replacement for Windows Explorer (apart from the horrible font). The display is basically the same as Windows Explorer but with some new toolbars and buttons. FileQuest Lite is packed with features that are more aimed at the advanced Windows user. Some good features are the file filter which displays files of set types and the report manager which can display reports on disk-space, rarely used files etc. It is only let down in its presentation which is rather blocky and unattractive. With too many features to really describe in detail, Filequest lite is a must for those that like to make full use of their computer.
