This utility is able to check your hard drive(s) for annoying duplicate files, and provides easy capability of deleting them, saving you megabytes of precious diskspace. Features: * Add multiple folders and subfolders easily for scanning * Show file info by hoovering mouse over item * Select identical files manually, by directory, or by pattern * Automatically warrant to leave at least one original * Edit the list of files before actually deleting all of them * Delete files directly or to recycle bin, or send them to an archive folder. This utility should be used with caution, but is an absolute must for people who have a huge number of files (e.g. pictures or mp3 files) Our Review: Check Identical Files can quickly and easily search through your hard drive to find duplicates, even by different names. Click on a file to remove, and hit the delete button, and remove in a safe manner to your recycling bin, archive or direct delete. A few bugs still remain; very slow scrolling, cannot mask file extentions, and if you select an empty cell by accident, it trys to redelete the last file. Excellent program for anyone with lots of files to sort through.
