In addition, Panda Antivirus Platinum can block outbound service ports (telnet, http, ftp...etc). It even protects connections to IP addresses, scanning at the Winsock level - without needing to write messages to disk as is the case with many other antiviruses- , with the enormous gains in speed and reliability that this entails. Our Review: Well-established, well-supported package which provides a viable alternative to Norton Antivirus. Nicely presented and easy to use, there's a promise of 24 hour response times and an emphasis on the complete destruction of all the world's viruses - with the help of the Panda. LA based with a good reputation in South America, this package occasionally slips from English to Spanish and restarted my PC for me several times without even being asked.
