SFX Maker is a great, powerful and totally FREE self-extracting archive creation utility for Windows®. It complements PowerArchiver and any other archive utility (such as WinZip® or QuickZip) by providing an easy to use wizard which allows you to create powerful SelF-eXtracting archives. Self-extracting archives are .EXE files which contain a ZIP archive. When they are run, the files are extracted to the users computer without the need of additional extraction software such as PowerArchiver. SFX Maker has many powerful features which enable you to create self-extracting archives which behave exactly as you want. With complete help, in HTML format, learning has never been easier -- like browsing though a website. Click on the "Features" to see more information about SFX Maker. Our Review: SFX Maker has an easy to use and simple to follow interface. It touts itself to be an add-on to WinZip and other archivers, yet WinZip includes it's own addon to create SFX archives. That said, SFX Maker is a viable option for novices. The software has a Christian tone to it, and if you're not careful your SFX archive will have Bible passages scrolling across the bottom.
