East-Tec FormatSecure 2001 features a very intuitive wizard interface and can securely format any floppy, ZIP or hard drive directly from Windows Explorer. Our Review: Another excellent application from East Technologies. East Tech FormatSecure is aimed at formatting disks beyond the point where ANY data can be recovered. Like East Tech Eraser, this utility supports a lot of disk formats including FAT32 and the NTFS system used in Windows NT. A selection of format methods are available - ranging from the very fast to the very secure. When selecting a format method, FormatSecure provides a quick summary of how the method works and its pros & cons. Efficient and well-engineered for simplicity and speed, and with a small operating size, this program is a nice example of quality.
