A powerful yet easy-to-use cataloging tool for your volumes (floppies, CD-ROMs, ZIP disks etc.). By using Advanced File Organizer, you are able to organize volumes, folders and files into hierarchical categories. Main useful features: friendly explorer-like interface; search for files and folders; export data into Excel format (*.csv); browsing files and folders according with locations and according with their categories; ability to add entire volumes and separate folders; possibility to add your own comment for every files and folder; compact, but rich in details database and more. Our Review: Advanced File Organizer is a fast way to organize your files into virtual categories. Advanced File Organizer simply catalogues the contents of your local/network drives and then allows you to tag any files within that hierarchy with a customizable category tag. This is great because you can then view files by category without having to physically move the file to a new category folder - very useful for organizing all documents relevant to a particular project. Unfortunately an obvious benefit of this hasn't been implemented - there's no way to select any of the categorized files to backup to another location - you can only view and comment them. It's quite fast at cataloging though - and catalog files can be saved for later reference. This latest release allows you to import several catalog files to work on simultaneously and allows you to optionally list only folders to create a simple directory tree.
