AUTOption Graphic is customisable Autorun/Autoplay menuing software that gives a highly professional touch to your CDs/CDRs. With a fully graphical interface, you control the appearance of your menu! You can specify a background image (which the program will size itself to) as well as different images for button up, down and mouse over events. This program comes with an easy to use step by step wizard for the setting up of the interface or you can make use of the menu editor where changes are previewed immediately. The menu can optionally be further enhanced by the inclusion of digital sounds (.wav) for button clicks, menu start, menu exit and more! AUTOption Graphic could be used to open Internet Sites in the User’s Browser; open directories in Windows Explorer; launch programs or sub-menus; open documents or files (or anything else that you could imagine placing on a CD) in the User’s viewer. Our Review: While AUTOption is a fairly fast and efficient way to create graphical autorun front-ends for CDs it could have been little more helpful. Consisting of a directory with all the necessary bitmaps, sounds and files needed to create such a menu AUTOption offers you two ways to modify this and create your own. The AG Wizard is a breeze to use and will have your up and running in seconds while the WYSIWYG menu editor gives you a little more power. Unfortunately to access some of the more advanced features such as multi-level menus and sounds you have to set up the file structure yourself by copying and editing .ini and .wav files until the program can work with them. It's a minor niggle but considering your paying $15 for these options it would have been nice if they integrated into the interface, which also lacks some other extremely useful features - such as save! A little more hassle than one would like, but AUTOption does the job in the end making it a nice alternative to usual, and oft-ugly HTML front-ends.
