ZoneAlarm provides Internet security for any individual computer. It is an ideal tool for blocking unwanted Internet connections for machines using always-on DSL or cable modem connections. ZoneAlarm protects you from malicious programs, like Spyware and Trojan horses, by allowing you to control your computer's Internet traffic and how applications access the Internet. Our Review: ZoneAlarm is an excellent way to protect your PC from the dark side of the internet. Local and non-local security levels can be specified and a firewall set up to protect your network. ZoneAlarm allows you to specify individual programs' internet allowances, including whether ZoneAlarm will give them permission to act as a server. An automatic lock on internet access after a set time-interval (or when the screensaver activates) can be imposed on all programs (except those in the exception list). Its very easy to set up and use, and is highly recommended for either home or business use.
