ZipE.D. is a unique Zip file handler unlike any Zip utility you've seen before. With it you can manage and track your archive collection with ease, extract files, build Zip files, generate a Zip file report, search for: Zip files, files within Zip file, text inside Zip files and many more. ZipE.D. is fast, easy to use and fun to operate. Our Review: ZipE.D is a bit of a mystery. The interface is initially attractive with some good colors and background but quickly becomes annoying if you don't possess supervision and don't like doing lots of clicking to get to the option you require. As far as zipping goes, it's not bad with a good categorisation concept. However, there are programs around that deal with this side of things better ( the obligatory WinZip or WinRAR, for example ). The ability to text search within zipped files is an interesting function but doesn't really compensate for the overall lack of functionality ZipE.D offers. As far as documentation goes, after the second attempt at reinstalling, I gave up on the link from the GUI! Combine all this with the lack of licence or price info and the unmaintained web-site and you have a non-recommended product. Sorry, TGL.
