jTask is a useful tool for any DBA, Network Admin, or System Admin who is fluent in Java. Scheduling a Java class is as simple as entering a few pieces of information in a control panel. jTask will execute any Java class with a main() method, no special sub-classing or interface is required. This means you can you can use any of your existing utilities without having to recompile them. Our Review: This is a simple scheduler, written in Java, that allows you to quickly and easily run Java .class files on a configured schedule. It does its job very well, and is free for commercial use. jTask is a very nice program to use, but can slow your system down during its implementation. The program has a fairly intuitive interface, and is easy to setup and get going. It comes with all the necessary Java libraries, so you'll be able to get the program going straight away.
