Also allows the ability to enable/disable Windows Scripting Host and VBA. Our Review: ChekOf was written to monitor the macro security settings of Microsoft Office 95, 97 and 2000. It is NOT an anti-virus product - it simply warns if the macro security settings are lowered from the setting when ChekOf was started. This check is carried out every 10-30 seconds (dependant on configuration) while the program is running. Why?? I hear you ask. Well some macro viruses will automatically lower your security options in various word processors, so that they will no longer warn you that the document you are just about to open contains macros. If you wish to protect your system/network from macro viruses, get this. Also, ChekOf will warn at startup if any of the settings are set to LOW or are Disabled.
