PKZIP Explorer is a Microsoft Windows Explorer based .ZIP file utility designed and engineered by the originators of the .ZIP archival and compression file format. PKZIP Explorer is seamlessly integrated inside of Microsoft Windows Explorer, allowing users to manage and manipulate their .ZIP archives without leaving the Explorer environment. User’s may open, create, modify, and extract (from) their .ZIP archives using easy to use yet powerful Windows Explorer resources such as drag and drop, (context and pull-down) menus, toolbars, and copy/paste. Furthermore, PKZIP Explorer provides advanced .ZIP file management functionality via the PKZIP Archive Manager and integrated tools such as the Add and Extract dialogs. Our Review: This is a great program for those people that want more integration with Windows Explorer than the popular WinZip can provide. You can perform all your zip operations quickly and easily from within Explorer. The program is not implemented as well as it could be, and you will need to uninstall WinZip if you want to test it properly. It does come from the makers of the original PKZIP, which means it doesn't get anymore authentic than this.
