Childproof
ChildProof enables you to child-proof your computer so that children can have access to the items you let them and nothing more. It allows you to easily build custom play areas which contain games, tools, educational programs or any items you wish. Just follow the steps listed below. Note: ChildProof cannot control what a program does after it is started by the child. If you put a program in the playground that allows the child to delete, rename, drag and drop or otherwise modify the system then ChildProof will not stop the program from doing these things. You should check each program you put in the playground to see if it allows the child to perform functions that you do not wish him/her to perform. Our Review: This is a handy application for those with children. With the use of the virtual 'playpen', children can be given 'free' reign on your PC without things like "I love cake" appearing in the middle of your presentation or Master's thesis. By this method, kids are limited to not being able to delete files and change system settings, the birthplace of many many headaches. A nice idea that has been well-executed. Also potentially useful for those 'distaster area' adults to keep themselves out of trouble.
