Recover98
Recover98 is a file and data recovery program. Recover98 can retrieve files from a Hard Disk Drive which has a corrupted file system due to virus attack, formatting or program errors even if it has not been preinstalled. Recover98 can not only recover data and files (including deleted files) it can actually rebuild the files as well. The TCP/IP Client and the IPX/SPX Client allow recovery from a local area network or over the internet. The program can be run from a floppy disk or installed on a machine. Fully compatable with Windows 95/98/NT/2000 as well as FAT and NTFS File Systems. Our Review: Nice interface and easy to use, although testing showed that if you just do a straight delete of a file (eg. in Windows Explorer), R98 will not recover it, and nor will it recover data on a recently formatted floppy disk. This demo version allows viewing of recovered files, but not the ability to save them.
