3DMark2000 is a benchmark that focuses on testing 3D performance of modern 3D accelerators in a "real world" environment. As most users will use their 3D accelerator for playing games, 3DMark focuses on these types of applications in most of its results. Our Review: 3DMark2000 is a very comprehensive testing utility to test your system's capabilities regarding running 3D software and games. Everything is accounted for such as low, medium and high level graphics and CPU speed, just to mention a few. Recommended for the intermediate to advanced users due to its technicality. CONS: performance is OK but it would be better if it could handle low performance machines and not destabilise during the test. This freeware version has limited functionality. The Pro version cost US$29.99.
