Our Review: Cipher is an interesting program, which is used to encrypt programs or files. The only requirements are that the user/sender as well as user/receiver have the same version of Cipher and both have the unlock key. However, Cipher will only encrypt to 62 bit, unlike the near uncrackable PGP which encrypts to 128 bit. Despite this, for a freely open encryption tool, Cipher is pretty darn good.
