VNC stands for Virtual Network Computing. It is, in essence, a remote display system which allows you to view a computing 'desktop' environment not only on the machine where it is running, but from anywhere on the Internet and from a wide variety of machine architectures. Our Review: WinVNC is a small, yet extremely flexible and powerful program for setting up remote Virtual desktops. The few people out there who are in need for something like this should definitely give it a go. While initially a bit baffling, the superb support provided by the web-site will soon get you going. Freeware at its best.
