Shop Talk
Shop Talk is an instant messaging system designed for local area networks. It allows you to quickly send messages to anyone and everyone on your network. It allows the recipient to PRINT the messages, SAVE them to FOLDERS, REPLY, etc. Great for the "SYSTEM GOING DOWN, PLEASE LOGOUT!" or "Your wife is on line 1" messages. Easy to use, easy to install! Our Review: Shop Talk does all the basics right. As a simple LAN messaging program, it allows easy addition correspondence, as well as setting up users, passwords and groups, etc. Unfortunately, Shop Talk is somewhat lacking in the help department and lacks an uninstall option which makes it more difficult than it should be. Not as tooled-up, innovative or attractive as many other messenger programs out there (try Pink Notes or Epeg), but still functional.
