The "Easy Open" function lets you instantly locate files and folders from any open/save file dialog. For Win95/98/NT4/2000. Some features disabled after 30 day trial period. - Its like you used to have to go round the block a couple of times to get to your files and now they're right there. Our Review: Aha! Sprung! This program indexes your filesystem when it first loads up and creates a catalogue of all the files contained therin. Which is remarkably similar to what Microsoft Findfast does! Hah! Except that Findfast only does it for office documents, and is a lot slower. Well I guess there is nothing wrong FileTracer as it is very fast and works well and isn't a problem to use. In fact, after correspondance with the developer of this program, I found out that FileTracer works a lot better than Findfast, and uses less CPU time etc. So, perhaps Microsoft could learn something from Filetracer.....
