Zipcat Pro 3 Catalogs most any kind of media (disks, hard drives, network drives, CD-ROM's and more). Once cataloged, they can be searched for files and folders quickly and easily. No more inserting disk after disk or looking through reams of paper to find a file! You can find files by dates, name, description, size, duplicates (without having to know a filename), and even export your volumes to disk files for E-mailing, printing, etc. Our Review: ZipCat Pro is a highly innovative databasing application which combines its powerful and extremely useful functions with a simple interface and solid tutorials to ensure user satisfaction. Essentially a cataloging application, creating and editing volumes is extremely simple, and when combined with the advanced search engine should ensure all your media is located with ease. The advanced preferences, such as treating zip files as folders can be tailored to find the best combination of speed and accuracy in your searches. The only real downside is the awkward install (but this can be forgiven as it has to cater to a range of different OS's). As the amount of data stored on the average PC increases, be thankful that there's something like ZipCat Pro to keep it all in order. Highly recommended.
