WebExe will convert a single HTML page, or group of pages, into a standalone self-running EXE file with integrated browser. Users are given full control of the browser's attributes, functionality and behavior. Beginning from a single HTML page, WebExe goes through the complete website or project, gathering all embedded graphics and linked pages, and produces one single, compressed output file.
Our Review: By compiling HTML into an executable with it's own browser, you no longer have a standard web page. Instead you have a a multimedia presentation perfect for business use, manuals and electronic books. On the looks front WebExe looks smart and simple while also featuring a good range of options including passwords, customisable browser size and the ability to prevent copy, paste etc. The finished product is equally as impressive with the built-in browser which includes a search engine. All these ingredients bake a tasty cake, which must mean the Wizard is the icing, taking you through step by step from the first page to the final executable. While compiling HTML into an executable is not a new idea (check out Web Compiler 2000) WebExe's ease of use and attractive interface puts it right up there with the best.
