MapEdit
Mapedit is a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor for imagemaps. Imagemaps allow you to turn a GIF, JPEG or PNG image into a clickable map by designating polygons, circles and rectangles within the image and specifying a URL for each to link to. Client-side imagemaps, which are now available in virtually all web browsers, can do all of the above without the help of a special program on the server. Our Review: This program is a good tool for web authors. MapEdit allows for the easy modification of an image map into a clickable item on a webpage. An easy way to make your website a bit more professional and it is a lot more simple than more traditional web editing tools that are not designed for this purpose. Requires a basic knowledge in web authoring.
