To pick a colour either use the Windows Picker button to use the standard Windows Colour selection dialog box, or use the Eye Dropper button to grab a colour from anywhere on the screen. To finish grabbing click the mouse, or press a key.
The selected colour is shown in the preview box. To change the colour of the text element rather than the background, select the Text radio button. The next colour to be selected is then applied to the text, rather than the background.
Once the colour has been selected press one of the "send" buttons to insert the code into the active window. This works in 99% of cases, but if it doesn't, press the copy button instead, then paste into your editor.
Our Review: Colour Picker is what its name suggests - a colour picker. Simply run your mouse over the screen, and the colour which you are over is displayed in 3 formats: RGB Macro, C++ COLOREF, and HTML code. As well as this, it has the standard windows pallete at the click of a button, and a 'text on background' feature for comparing colours. But the best feature is a 'send' button, which will paste the colour code in the currently selected window - no more cut and paste!
