PortaSite
PortaSite is multimedia promotion software that works on-line or off-line. The contents can be changed by simply editing the text files that accompany the program. The program can be duplicated many times so that changes to the duplicated text files create a new PortaSite promotion with it's own seperate information. The software may be copied to CD-Rom, floppy disk or any other electronic media. Flash 4 is required and automatically installed if necessary. (An internet connection is required for automatic Flash 4 installation) Our Review: PortaSite is an application based presentation package. PortaSite is similar to the likes of Microsoft PowerPoint, although the application relies on web browser applications to view its presentations. Essentially, PortaSite contains a set of templates to which the user inputs their own information which is then presented. By utilizing functions such as ShockWave and Flash, users are able to create presentations that far outstrip the abilities of standard presentation software. The user should bear in mind however, that this is a disabled demonstration version of the software.
