PopChart Builder is a 100% Java application. It allows you to create graphs (called PopCharts) quickly and easily for use with either PopChart Image Server or PopChart Live. PopChart Image Server is an HTTP server that generates dynamic GIF, PNG, and FLASH images for charts and graphs. Rather than having you make static charts or graphs with a tedious image manipulation or spreadsheet program, PopChart Image Server allows you to create graphs (PopCharts) simply by feeding it raw data. It will then interpret that data and return either a GIF, PNG, or FLASH image containing a graphical representation of that data. You can even enable certain portions of the graph for interactive drill-down effects. Because PopChart Image Server returns the chart or graph as a file, PopCharts are very easy to include in any Internet environment, regardless of whether you use Java, Cold Fusion, ASP, or just regular HTML. PopChart Image Server is even more powerful when the information you feed it is dynamic. Our Review: The PopChart products work together to create graphs which you can deploy on the web. This package includes the Builder and Image Server. The builder allows you to create 15 different types of graphs. The server will then create the images of these graphs, suitable for deployment to the web. Although the interface is not very good, there is clearly a great deal of sophistication behind this product - it is packed with features and I highly recommend it. There is also an excellent help system. This trial version leaves watermarks on your graphs.
