Hey, have you heard the one about the guy whose freeware hobby projects were
so good that his fledgling company became one of the most respected young security
and privacy providers on the Net? You know - the one where the developer in
question continues to add quality product after quality product with the aid
of his small team of recruits, garnering award after award from critic after

No? Well, please allow us to introduce Spytech, the bouncing baby of Nathan
Polencheck. There's something very refreshing about a story like this one, a
certain "rags-to-riches" flavour that, as with all the best tales, guarantees
that our protagonist is worthy of such a reward.
Put
simply, Spytech's products are really, really good. With the aid of some enlightened
engineering approaches, their combination of excellent design, remarkable compactness
and sheer usefulness have helped raise a few questioning eyebrows regarding
the quality (and size) of some of their more established competitors.
This is not a major corporation - idiosyncrasies remain, both in their documentation

Spytech
SpyAgent Professional
Spytech SpyAgent is a professionally presented monitoring package that beats
every other like-minded application out there hands down. While other similar
utilities may require a whole CD to install, SpyTech bundles the same power
(if not more) into under 800 KB! Its well-designed interface is a treat, allowing
you to easily navigate and configure the options and view the generated logs.
It can be run on Windows startup, either discretely (the user doesn't know they
are being monitored), or with a statement informing of its presence. SpyAgent
is suitable for family and personal usage - monitor children's internet activity.
It can also be used in institutions such as companies and schools - monitor
employees and students. This application is great! All necessary features are
included in a good-looking, tight package, making SpyAgent a highly recommended

This is a package of security utilities which includes an encryption program,
a password management program, a trojan detection program, various other useful
utilities, and SpyAgent Lite the little brother of SpyAgent Professional. SecurityWorks
is all you need to keep your PC and information secure. Each utility has a nice,
easy-to-use interface, which together with SpyTech Software's deft software
engineering makes this a worthwhile security package.
NetArmor
NetArmor continues the tradition of top quality products from Spytech Software.
This security utility patrols your internet connection and alerts you to any
instances of possible unfriendly liaising with your computer. NetArmor is easily
configurable via the nice-looking interface, and it allows you to specify and
update trojan/intruder information. It even gave me a bit of a laugh when it
meekly suggested that my PC was being attacked by its own IP address. Overall,
this software is great, splendid, recommended even.
Spynet
Chat
A well designed internal chat program with a nice colourful interface that is
very easy to use. Spynet Chat is especially useful for setting up a chat session
on a LAN or WAN where you know the people and there aren't too many participants.
Choose a character and log on to the host (1 person running the server program).
It has some neat features such as dice rolling, slapping and yelling. There's
also an automatic laugh sound when you type lol (laugh out loud). Overall, Spynet
chat is a professional looking and fun program.
Cipherworks Encryption Studio
--> A great encryption programme that has many methods for ciphering files.
The interface is simple and easy to use. Although the demo version is fully
functional, the full version adds even higher encryption strengths. A worthwhile
programme for anyone who needs to protect restricted information from prying
eyes. The addition of more adequate documentation would have lent Cipherworks
Encryption Studio a higher overall rating but it should be stressed that this
is not a difficult program to use.
